From the meeting
The board scheduled a vote on whether the district would serve as lead agent and project proponent for a Delta Conservancy Proposition 4 Climate Bond planning grant. The grant would fund conceptual designs plus ecology and hydrodynamic modeling for a multi-benefit tidal wetland restoration and flood resilience project at Van Sickle Island. The proposal named SFEI, GEI Consultants, USGS, and the Metropolitan Water District as technical partners.
The agenda said the completed proposal would be submitted by the October 24 deadline; decision pending.
