From the meeting
The board discussed a mentoring program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana Inc. The item was still under consideration at the October 12, 2026 meeting, so any agreement was not yet recorded as executed. This is a potential youth-services partnership with a named outside organization and could lead to a program arrangement or support services purchase.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
