From the meeting
The board approved discarding multiple outdated social studies and world languages textbooks, including titles from Holt McDougal, TCI, Holt Rinehart, McDougal Littell, Cengage Learning/Wadsworth, and Vista Higher Learning. The books range from 2005 to 2014 copyright dates and are in poor condition. This is a small but clear curriculum obsolescence signal that can point to future textbook or digital content replacement planning.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Kearny issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Kearny's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Kearny before the RFP is published?
