From the meeting
Staff worked with J-U-B Engineers on a task order for preliminary 30 percent design, cost estimates, and phasing plans for downtown streetscape improvements on Main Street from 8th Street to A Street. The scope includes curbs, gutters, street trees, lighting, irrigation, pedestrian amenities, and a 5-6 year implementation strategy. The recommended task order value was $271,980, with Council consideration scheduled for October 26, 2026.
The work points to a longer capital program that will likely need follow-on engineering and construction support.
