THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
Sampson County is executing a Cooperative Service Agreement with USDA APHIS Wildlife Services for expanded beaver management, funded at up to $100,000 for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027. This supplements the Beaver Management Assistance Program to address flooding and property damage across the county. Environmental and construction vendors can coordinate with APHIS and the County on culvert repair, erosion control, and drainage improvements adjacent to wildlife removal work.
Separate enrollment fee of $6,000 for BMAP participation also applies for FY26-27.
