THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
Rehabilitation of pavement on transient ramp, cargo ramp, and several taxi lanes; installation of new concrete drip lines along hanger faces; asphalt pavement repairs; application of emulsified asphalt seal coat; and new pavement markings.
Project includes site preparation, demoing existing pavement, subgrade work, base installation, concrete flat work (two-foot wide concrete right outside hangers), and three-foot wide asphalt transmission beyond that. The seal coat is a P608 (FAA technical term), similar to a slurry seal but airport-friendly with finer aggregate. Work area includes hanger rows A through J and the cargo/transient ramp. Work will be Monday through Friday, day work. No runway closures, but individual taxi lane closures will occur. Contractor access via gates V28 and V30. Weekly updates will be provided via email and bulletin boards. Pedestrian access to hangers within the work area will require airport escort.
