On October 6, 2026 the Pismo Beach City Council approved the award of a design-build contract for the Central Coast Blue Advanced Water Purification Facility to PERC Water Corporation. The contract amount was not to exceed $39,790,682, and the amendment to GHD, Inc. for Owner's Advisor services was not to exceed $2,233,443.
The report said the project had already gone through an RFQ, invited RFP, and interview process, and that staff wanted the expansion to 750 AFY included now. The same report said staff would return later with an additional contract for Well 31 and that construction management was expected to be needed in spring 2027.
