From the meeting
On October 29, 2026, the Board of Education received a proposal to revise the Information Technology (IT) Pathway within the Illinois College and Career Pathway Endorsement (CCPE) framework. The proposal would add AP Computer Science Principles & AI and AP Networking for Fall 2027, and launch an IT Capstone in Fall 2028. Teacher teams were already engaged in visioning, curriculum development, and professional learning, and courses that no longer fit the new pathway design would be retired.
The Board was recommended to approve the revision and timeline.
