From the meeting
On October 27, 2026, the Board of Aldermen adopted Ordinance No. 2026-3160 amending Chapter 425 on stormwater management. The ordinance added land disturbance permitting and illicit discharge detection and elimination regulations after the city was notified by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources about the updated MS4 stormwater permit.
It also set a $100 grading permit fee in the ordinance text and gave the city authority to regulate standalone dirt work and erosion controls. The ordinance was adopted on second and final reading.
