From the meeting
Lenoir Community College opened the Senator Jim Perry Aviation Center for Excellence at the North Carolina Global TransPark on May 19. The 57,024-square-foot facility includes classrooms, maintenance labs, and a heated aircraft hangar for aviation management, career pilot technology, aviation systems technology, and short-term training. The center is already operating, so the sales angle is follow-on training, equipment, and facility support tied to this new campus asset.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Lenoir Community College issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Lenoir Community College's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
