From the meeting
In a September 10, 2026 letter, the Metropolitan Airports Commission said it is building a new PSAP on the MSP Airport campus and expects it to open sometime later in 2027. The plan has three phases: add one Motorola AXS console for training and acceptance testing, build Zone 2 site 24 with 10 AXS positions and related radio equipment, then upgrade the existing PSAP from MCC7500E consoles and an AIS to AXS consoles. The letter says the work was designed and procured through Motorola and that MAC has contracted with Motorola Solutions to install each phase.
The new site will require 20 mbps of bandwidth.
