From the meeting
Council passed an ordinance amending the wastewater department staffing plan to add one Wastewater Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendent and increase authorized positions to six. The superintendent had said the position was needed, and the city noted it had been posted three times last year without a successful applicant. The amendment also added an emergency clause so the job could be advertised and filled as soon as possible.
This is a hiring trigger tied to succession planning and plant operations.
