From the meeting
At the September 8, 2026 work session, Councilmember del Aguila said the Town had awarded a Community Donations Program grant to the Green Lizard Foundation to help plan a criterium bicycle race. He said the race was being targeted for April 17 or April 24, 2027, and the foundation was interviewing race directors. The grant is already awarded, but the event planning timeline and race staffing still matter.
This is a community-event grant signal with follow-on vendor and organizer needs.
