From the meeting
At the October 8, 2026 meeting, the Village Council approved Resolution 26-20 to submit an application to the New Mexico Water Trust Board for design funding for the Well #4 Rehabilitation Project. Staff said Well #4, built in 1979, needed upgrades for aging equipment and outdated technology. The planned work included a new deeper well, electrical and control system upgrades, and conversion to a CO2-based arsenic treatment system.
Staff said design would take about one year and construction could begin in about two and a half years if funded.
