From the meeting
At the October 7, 2026 meeting, Council Member Henry Traut reported that the Morris County MUA composting mini-grant program was moving forward. ECCOST had identified a New Jersey-certified composting vendor at no cost to the Borough, and the program will provide 20 residents with a composting bin, compostable bags, and 14 weeks of free compost collection service. The Borough was still identifying a centralized drop-off location.
That makes this a live grant-funded environmental services opportunity with a small operational footprint.
