From the meeting

At the October 5, 2026 workshop, City Engineer Charles Stankovic and MoDOT staff presented four possible locations for the future Highway 47 and East-West Parkway intersection. Council selected Option 3, about 300 feet north of the southern property line, because staff said it would reduce rock excavation and costs and better fit the future East-West Parkway alignment. Council also approved a scope change from the original roundabout concept to a stubbed intersection, with stubs for the future parkway and a five-lane Highway 47 section in the area.

The city said it would submit the change to the MoDOT Cost-Share Committee and East-West Gateway and complete a new cost estimate.

Questions about this project

What is a pre-RFP?

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
