From the meeting
At the October 14, 2026 meeting, the society said it needs a conceptual plan for the remaining Holcomb House improvements on the Building Committee project list. The May 2025 General Conditions Assessment from the Preservation Trust of Vermont will guide the work. Dick Simays will follow up with Don Blake and coordinate with Mary Jean Smith to keep the project moving.
This is early-stage planning for future building work, not a selected contract.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.

Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Town of Johnson's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
