From the meeting
At the October 13, 2026 council meeting, the city authorized Task Order #3 with Delta Airport Consultants for professional services on the Airport Runway Edge Lighting Replacement. City Engineer Patrick Patton said the runway edge lighting on both runways is over 40 years old and replacement parts are no longer available. The city was awarded an FAA grant covering 95 percent of the replacement cost, and design work was approved for a project next year.
This is a funded airport infrastructure replacement with near-term design activity.
