From the meeting
At the November 4, 2026 special called meeting, the City Council heard a Food Well Alliance presentation on the Palmetto and Chattahoochee Hills Local Food System Plan. The plan covered five priorities, including shared processing and distribution infrastructure, a dual-city advisory committee, a Palmetto community garden, and food access expansion. Food Well Alliance said each plan includes a $100,000 implementation grant package with $75,000 cash and $25,000 in-kind support.
The council agenda listed the item for approval, and the presentation explained what adoption means.
