From the meeting
At its September 28, 2026 meeting the board approved joining the Oakland County HOME Consortium. Staff said Waterford would not receive a direct HOME allocation on its own, but participating in the consortium would route an estimated $185,000 beginning in federal fiscal year 2028. Oakland County will serve as lead entity and run the housing rehab and CHDO affordable housing programs.
This is a grant-funded housing pipeline with a long lead time and likely partner-driven implementation.
