From the meeting

At its September 22, 2026 meeting, the council approved Resolution #2026-124 adopting the Ontario Greenspace Master Plan. Greenworks PC had prepared the plan under a Growing Equity Urban and Community Forestry Grant, and council was told the adoption closed Phase I. The city then planned Phase II implementation, with about $350,000 to $360,000 remaining and work to be put out for bid through September 2028.

The plan will drive tree removal and replacement work across city green spaces.

What is a pre-RFP?

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
