From the meeting
At its September 16, 2026 meeting, the board heard a report about speeding and safety concerns on Highway 60 near GHS when school is in session. The superintendent said he would write ADOT and the City of Globe would also write a letter asking for a flashing light or other warning signs. ADOT may then have traffic engineers review the request and possibly set up a Highway Safety Improvement Plan.
This is an open safety-improvement lead, not an awarded project.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
