From the meeting

At its September 16, 2026 meeting, Council considered Ordinance 1241 authorizing a lease with option to purchase Lot 2, Block 7, North Fill Development Park. The agreement was already negotiated with Prince William Sound Economic Development District for a shared seafood, mariculture, and subsistence processing facility. The lease term is 10 years, with base rent of $18,000 a year for the first five years and a $180,000 purchase option.

The site development plan calls for grants in year 1, equipment purchases in year 2, and substantial completion by September 2031.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
