From the meeting
At its September 15, 2026 meeting, the board approved a special use permit request from Five Nine Design Group to construct an amplification station for an adjacent fiberoptic line in the highway right-of-way. Planner Laura Bookout said the Planning & Zoning Commission had recommended approval with one condition limiting the approval to the data and storage facility outlined in the application. The project is now cleared for that build, which makes the applicant and its design team relevant for follow-on fiber-related work.
