From the meeting
At its September 14, 2026 meeting, the town committed to a 3 percent local match of $22,500 for a $750,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for ADA accessibility and energy efficiency upgrades at the Atlantic Beach Community Multiple-Use Center. Staff said the work would address lights, HVAC, doors, wall paneling, bathrooms, and possibly flooring and parking lot improvements. The town is still pursuing the grant, so the next step is the funding decision and application follow-through.
