From the meeting
At its October 8, 2026 meeting the council introduced Ordinance #14-2026 to increase funding for the Dairy Street Recreation Complex. The ordinance authorized a new expenditure of $217,170 for tennis court fencing and surface repairs and a Vets Field backstop. Funding was split between $57,090 from the 2024 Bergen County Open Space, Recreation, Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund and $160,080 from the Municipal Open Space Fund.
The project is still in the budgeting/appropriation stage, but it shows a defined parks capital need.
