From the meeting

At its October 21, 2026 meeting the board authorized closing the Funk Road Bridge, Bridge No. 39, after the county engineer said it had advanced deterioration and needed structural review. The engineer proposed reusing steel girders from the Doylestown Road Bridge replacement, with new floor beams, stringers, decking, and asphalt overlay.

The bridge is expected to reopen in early summer 2027, so this is a live infrastructure project with repair and construction follow-on work.
