From the meeting
At its October 20, 2026 meeting, the council approved Resolution 2026-27 to verify the $1 million match for the wastewater treatment plant improvement project. The mayor said the town had already been awarded $10 million in Water Trust Board grant and loan funding, and the match would come from $3 million in federal funding secured with help from Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury. This confirms funding is in place and points to continued implementation of the plant improvements.
