From the meeting
At its October 19, 2026 Planning Committee meeting, staff presented the Unified Development Code update and said the project was planned for late 2027 adoption. The memo said staff were proposing approaches to remove a density cap in the Residential Low zone, address access and utilities planning, and coordinate site design standards. Staff also said they were reaching out to developers, architects, engineers, and other heavy users of the code for feedback on the new format.
Funds were authorized in the current budget for the work.
