From the meeting
At its October 19, 2026 meeting, the Council received an update that the playground grant had been allocated but could not yet be accessed. John said the town must complete an activation form, a Maryland Historic Trust review, and Public Service Commission authorization before it can sign the grant agreement. He said the grant could not be denied, but reimbursement is still waiting on those administrative steps.
The grant funds were described as secure, with reimbursement claims still pending.
