From the meeting
At its October 14, 2026 meeting the council authorized a Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Demonstration Account site investigation grant application for the Les Bolstad Golf Course site. The work would fund soil, sediment, and water sampling under Braun Intertec's remedial investigation work plan. The city is coordinating with Rachel Development and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture on future redevelopment planning.
A seller should note this is a funded environmental due-diligence step before redevelopment moves forward.

Questions about this project

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
