From the meeting
At its July 10, 2026 meeting, the board approved a recommendation to renew all Title III-B Supportive Services and Title III-C Nutrition Services contracts for an additional two-year term in the upcoming RFP cycle. The agency said it no longer awards four-year contracts and instead uses two-year contracts with an option to renew for two more years. The staff report also said budgets for the home modification programs operated by PIRS and Rebuilding Together were cut 50% because of a Title III-B funding decrease from the California Department of Aging, creating a one-time shortfall of about $146,000.
The reductions were temporary while the budget was balanced.
