At its August 4, 2026 meeting the commission approved option 1 for rehabilitation and repairs to the B Street public right-of-way wall. Storey County Public Works said the county would no longer seek FEMA money and would foot the bill. The approved concept calls for refacing the wall with existing stones, contrasting the retaining wall, recovering stones at the top, and adding an interpretive sign and guard rail.
