From the meeting
At its August 4, 2026 meeting, the board held a public hearing on a program amendment to the Town's 2021 North Carolina Community Development Block Grant - Neighborhood Revitalization (CDBG-NR) grant, No. 20-C-3642. The amendment would remove three original participants and add up to three alternates.
The overall grant budget stayed at $750,000 for privately owned dwelling rehabilitation. The grant work was already underway, so this is useful for follow-on housing rehab or program administration support.
