From the meeting
At its August 24, 2026 special joint meeting, the board approved an application to the Connecticut State Library for a matching construction grant for the Wolcott Public Library addition. The grant amount was $2 million, and the town was directed to submit the application before September 1, 2026. The same meeting also moved to approve the building program for the addition, which keeps the renovation work moving toward funded design and construction decisions.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
