From the meeting
At its August 18, 2026 meeting, the board heard that City Council approved moving forward with design of a replacement Fire Station No. 1. The new station will stay at the current site, and the plan is to demolish the existing building and construct a replacement facility.
WSKF is the architect and Newkirk Novak is handling preconstruction/construction management. Design is expected to take 12-18 months, and the eventual GMP will determine the next council decision.
