From the meeting
At its August 17, 2026 meeting the board reviewed early concepts for a new Sand Draw Landfill building. The working group discussed size, orientation, doors, utilities, and whether to use block wall or steel construction. Design funding is already in the current operating budget, and 25% of estimated construction cost is also in the budget.
Revised drawings and staff feedback were the next steps.
