From the meeting
At its August 11, 2026 meeting the District said it developed a Hazard Assessment Form to distribute to high-risk facilities identified as having a high potential to impact the District's system. The form will collect information on chemicals stored onsite, secondary containment, spill response measures, stormwater outfalls, and methods for isolating outfalls and other best management practices (BMPs). The Governor's Office connected the District with the Southwest Regional Director, who said he was willing to work with the District to modify individual National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits.
