From the meeting
At its August 10, 2026 meeting, Columbus Water Works presented a new school partnership initiative tied to workforce development and water education. The pilot will run this school year at Rigdon Road Elementary, Richards Middle School, and Hardaway High School, with Anna Cannon and Jennifer Mathis leading it. The program is already approved by the participating schools and is being piloted, so the sales value is in related education, outreach, and support services if it expands beyond the pilot.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Columbus Water Works issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Columbus Water Works's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Columbus Water Works before the RFP is published?
Vendors who reach out during the planning window can help shape requirements and build relationships with the decision-makers running the project. A free Civic IQ account unlocks this pre-RFP's source document, forecasted RFP timing, and verified Columbus Water Works decision-maker contacts.
