At its 10/15/2026 meeting, the Oregon State Board of Education reviewed a first-reading rule amendment tied to the updated Program Budgeting and Accounting Manual (PBAM). ODE said districts need clearer coding and that ERP vendor readiness and integration timelines are critical. The manual update was approved in April 2026 and is effective 7/1/2028, so the work is already underway and still has a long implementation runway.
