THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
Vergennes and Encore Vergennes Solar I, LLC have executed a First Amendment to their Solar Energy Services Agreement and a Purchase and Sale Agreement to partially decommission the northern portion of the WWTF solar array. The City will buy and remove the northern array equipment for $87,750 from its wastewater capital fund to make room for the WWTF expansion, while the remaining 100 kW AC system stays in operation. Solar and electrical contractors can pursue the de-energization, removal, and potential reuse work, and the change may prompt the City to explore new on-site or off-site solar options.
City assumes responsibility for separation, de-energization, removal, transport, and disposition of the Northern Array Solar Equipment, and must obtain PUC approvals; transaction coordinated with the WWTF expansion.
