THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
Durham County Cooperative Extension is recognizing the first $150,000 of a four‑year, $600,000 NCDSS Welcome Baby grant to expand family support services through June 2030. Funding supports a 0.65 FTE Parent Educator and operating costs to deliver Incredible Years School Age and Circle of Parents programs in English and Spanish. Providers of parenting curricula, evaluation tools, facilitator training, and family engagement technology can help Extension scale and manage these expanded services.
Grant aims to reduce risk of child abuse and neglect by strengthening protective factors; expands Welcome Baby to families with children up to 17.
