Missoula County authorized $150,000 in tax increment financing funds to hire a consulting firm to conduct a fire needs assessment for the Missoula Rural and Frenchtown Rural Fire Districts. The consultant will assess current capacity, future infrastructure and staffing needs, and funding strategies in the Y1 and Y2 TED areas through late 2026 or early 2027.
