The 30-second brief
Doten's Construction is the lowest bidder for the public works expansion project, which has a budget of $200,000 allocated in FY24. However, due to increased requirements from the state fire marshal, the project is significantly over budget, requiring an additional $160,000 to complete the required fireproofing and include a second exit. This brings the total cost to $360,000.
