The City of Springfield is entering into a First Amendment to the July 1, 2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Springfield Police Officers' Association to increase salaries for police officers. Effective July 1, 2025, the City will fund Merit Steps for all salary grades within the bargaining unit. Additionally, effective July 13, 2025, the City will implement a 13.5% across-the-board pay increase for Steps 6 through 14 of LES 2 Salary Grade, and for all steps of the LES 5 and 10 Salary Grades.
