The Stratford Festival has proposed that the City of Stratford sell the Discovery Centre/Normal School property at 270 Water Street to the Festival for $1.00 in its current condition, with the Festival assuming all future capital liabilities for the heritage building. The sale would recognize the Festival’s past lease payments and economic impact while relieving the City of significant capital obligations.
