The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will extend and amend its agreement with Smart Communications Holding, LLC for inmate communications services. The five-year contract, running through May 19, 2032, introduces new compliant revenue streams and a 1:1 inmate tablet deployment at no county cost, replacing former commission payments banned by new FCC regulations.
