SUMMARY
Space Florida is soliciting bids for airfield lighting improvements at the Launch and Landing Facility (formerly Shuttle Landing Facility) at Kennedy Space Center (Airport Code KTTS). The scope of work includes the installation of L-850A(L) LED runway centerline lights, L-862(L) elevated runway edge lights, L-862E(L) runway threshold/end lights, and L-852T(L) in-pavement taxiway edge lights. Additional work involves the installation of two sets of L-880(L) 4-box Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPI), L-858(L) airfield guidance signs, and L-858(L) runway distance remaining signs on new foundations. The project also requires vault room electrical modifications, including the integration of new L-829 Constant Current Regulators (CCRs) into the existing ALCMS. Bidders must provide a Public Construction Bond in 100% of the contract amount. A mandatory flight check coordination and tower controller allowance are included in the pricing structure.
