SUMMARY

Michigan State University Infrastructure Planning and Facilities is requesting bids for the design and build project for the Field Research Support Facility at Kellogg Biological Station located in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The project involves constructing a post-frame building addition with a minimum size of 64 feet long by 40 feet wide, to be utilized as archive storage and a mud room. The scope of work includes site preparation, earthwork, concrete slab and foundation work, structural framing, wood trusses, pre-formed and pre-finished steel roofing and exterior sidewalls, insulation, interior drywall and painting, doors, HVAC equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems including a complete FM200 fire suppression, smoke alarm, and fire alarm system. All bidders must hold a state project registration with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO) and submit certified payroll. The project must be completed no later than April 1, 2027.
