SUMMARY
The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting sealed bids for the St. Joseph Peninsula Beach Renourishment and Coastal Structures Project (Bid No. 2324-38). The work consists of placing approximately 830,000 cubic yards of beach-compatible sand from an offshore borrow area to renourish 1.1 miles of beach, including partial dune replacement between DEP Monuments R-100 and R-105.8. The scope also includes constructing eight submerged breakwaters and installing approximately 118,000 native dune plants. The project is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Treasury and RESTORE Act funding.
